Edoardo Palladin

My research focuses on End-to-End autonomous driving, learning policies that map raw sensor inputs directly to control actions in a fully differentiable framework. I investigate how to effectively bridge open-loop imitation learning with closed-loop reinforcement learning fine-tuning to improve robustness and distributional generalization. Previously, I worked on multi-modal sensor fusion for 3D perception, combining RGB, gated cameras, LiDAR, and radar for object detection, large-scale pre-training strategies for 3D perception models and reinforcement learning for legged robots and racing simulators. My broader goal is to enable autonomous agents to achieve human-like spatial and dynamic understanding.
